      I walked a couple of miles from Karon to Kata to see if I would recognise any other places from my last visit? The the only difference I could see at the Dino restaurant is the plants are bigger which adds to the effect. I took a couple of pictures including one off the "tree table" where we ate as a family many years ago.The hillside bungalows we stayed in are still there,again more vegetation.       ... Thai's like to put neon lights on anything, engines, lampposts, trees, you name it! Mopeds everywhere including happily heading towards you on the wrong side. Made it to the peer alive, where I was picked up by the hotels private long tail. Again, if you have never been anywhere like this, your just amazed that a boat that is powered by simply a lawn mower engine gets anywhere, especially with the amount of people that just cram on in!
