In typical Norwegian fashion, there were at least 30 speeches, all in Norwegian, but I had the amazing Margrett (sp) sitting next to me and translating the pertinent bits and giving me a quick précis of each speech. So, I went for a swim and it was beautiful since the weather was as hot as Haides with Norway enduring 30-35C for the last couple of weeks.
There were the usual kids and adults swimming from the quay, and as the day drew on, we evolved into the silliest/funniest/best diving exhibition from the board, ...

Onwards and upwards I snake around the mountains with next to no view at
all. then suddenly the road heads round a sharp curve and into a small cutting
right at the top of the mountain and there at the other side of the cutting is a
complete change in scenery.
Almost instantly the green trees stopped and the place was a plain of snow
