For some reason, I couldn't really get very motivated for our trip this year, and when Thursday night arrived, prior to our Friday morning departure, I was only half organised.
I'd packed, after a fashion, but wasn't really happy about it.
And of course, on Thursday afternoon/evening, SueEllen from next door came over for a glass of pre-trip champers, (any excuse!) and Mick and Rose must have smelled it, because they also arrived, and so did ...

We saw a couple of old Viking ships and and a few old merchant boats, and managed to be ready to catch the train in time..... Except... There was a breakdown of some kind so we were bundled into coaches and driven 30 or 40 Kms before being dropped at another station for the trip to Oslo's Gardemoen airport, and then to our hotel for an overnighter before staggering out to catch the 06.30 ...
