... nice but I saw too many confederate flags on cars to get out and chat up random people. ;) A gay guy does not stop in Kentucky, he simply drives through it. lol. All kidding aside, KY was a beautiful state and a very fun part of the road to drive on.

Today was great an relaxing. It's getting warmer! I'm loving this trip. Tomorrow ...

... the beginning of unexplored territory for us. We drove through all new areas heading west. Our lunch stop was in an interstate rest area that had incredible scenic views of the Pennsylvania mountains. For the night we pulled into a beautiful state park in Maryland; only one area of the park was open this time of year. We walked around the park to the aviary to see their collection of raptor birds. ... it is basically farm land, but it is the pathway to the good stuff, so be it. As expected, you will always end up with some sort of confrontation with somebody on your trip. We stopped to refuel at a Pilot truck stop and it was crowded.
