We were saddened this week by the news that our Daughter in Law's Father passed away unexpectantly. Jim was a lovely man and will be missed by his family and friends. On a happier note, Terry's sister Pat, phoned to say she is coming to the Gold Coast to stay with us, Simone and Family, and Terry's Brother and Sister in Law at the Main Beach Tourist Park in August. The last time we were all together was Simone's wedding, 11 years ago. Simone has ...

We eventually got up around half 9 this morning. We had some breakfast and a chat with Teresa who made us aware of a prize home in the Birtinya area around half an hours drive south from Noosa. As we had no concrete plans for the day we thought it would be a great idea to go and have a walk around. We got ready quickly and began the drive down the Sunshine Coast Motorway towards Birtinya. kilometres to Wairau Hospital.

At the hospital he was attached to an IV drip and given morphine, ...

I think the camping gods hate me! Well, I suspect they know that the feeling is mutual and they take every opportunity to remind me that they know! The mozzies here are the size of seagulls... No kidding.. and I think that they haven't had any fresh blood for months. They celebrated christmas early when I trotted across the snake infested grass to ...

So after 3 weeks on the road we were ready for a break from camping and living in La Toya and were lucky enough to find ourselves another Helpx role on the Sunshine Coast. This was another homestay with the lovely Lorelle and her 16 year old cat Moggy. Lorelle lives alone with her kids having grown up and flown the nest and she loves company and therefore lets our one room to helpxers and the other to Airbnb, we were so lucky to stay here as we were made to feel ...
