We had four days between our Greek Island tour and our Croatian Sailing tour. We were both absolutely knackered from the tours, and I was pretty sick with a fluey thing. We were so looking forward to having some time off from partying!! We said our goodbyes to people from our tour, and spent our first morning off organizing to send some clothes home. Thursday and Friday were spent sightseeing, walking through the narrow streets and exploring the alleys. There is always an interesting little place to discover.

This is meant to be one of the most photographed beaches in Croatia, a bit like Bondi and Australia. It was busy and you can tell July has come - the days are hot and more and more tourists are coming out. The water was so clean and clear and warm we stayed for a while before deciding we had better get back and have a shower before dinner.

... is coloured in lush shades of green, with dozens of turquiose lakes - I've never seen anything like it. I returned to Zadar that night, just in time to catch the sunset, listen to the sea organ, and watch the "greeting to the sun" (which is a solar powered collection of lights of all colours). I wish I had more time to explore the old town, but sadly, due to the infrequency of trains, I had to leave early this morning for Zagreb. Tomorrow I continue on to ...
