Ljubo our bike guide and some of the boat crew unload the bikes over our deck, across the adjacent boat, then over the railing and down onto the pier below. All 20 bikes! Water cascades through the rocks and reed beds, for beautiful waterfalls, the vegetation surrounding the lake is green ...

His mum made a traditional Croatian chicken dish but it wasn't just the food that was good- it was the interesting preparation. We dug up the fire pit and laid down bricks and then built a HUGE fire on top- it was literally 3-4m high and we were worried about setting the entire bush on fire! (we went through about 4 loads of wood) After the fire ...

... it is a bit choppy and windy on the water, but we accept her offer. Take laptop back to room, change clothes, head back down to rental spot. Off we go in our little boat with small engine, bouncing over the swells, water spraying in our faces. We just cruise along the shoreline, back and forth, until the sun sets behind the hills. Then we motor back into port, in the direction of the pinkening sky. Once on dry land, we head back ...
