A Few More Days Under My Belt...

... so you learn to appreciate the good with the bad. Getting Our Freak On, Durbar Sq & Patan Statues

... and watched the activity of the square then wandered around admiring the other temples which looked diffirent from every angle before finding a rooftop vantage point. Amongst much terror and screaming from the children themselves, pilgrims pushed their children onto us so we could shake their little trembling hands and give them a 'namaste'. We were going to go to Pashupati next (where they cremate people) next, but it started to storm so we headed back. I think I just slept on it wrong or something - the mattress was quite hard at my hotel in Pokhara. Still, I can't really move my arm without shooting hot pain coming from under my shoulder blade. That little addition made the whole experience on the ...

... sorted out such as writing e-mails, shipping cargo to Denmark (Michelle has purchased half of Kashmir's annual carpet output), sorting out finances and getting this diary up to scratch. We spent the first two nights in a gloomy room at the Hotel Star (where they allegedly filmed 'Escape from Kathmandu') but we eventually managed to secure a far nicer room (albeit a bit more expensive) at the Hotel Pyramid. The room comes with air conditioning and cable television, although the only ...
