Very beautiful old city and ruins. 300 days of sunshine a year. Visited the Knights of St John castle. We have now visited the 7 wonders of the Ancient Greek and Roman world without really trying! Very warm day again but moderately cooler at 31 than they had 3 days ago - 47c. Sailed to Symi this afternoon, a very beautiful town with colourful houses perched on the side of the harbour. ... relative comfort, at least in late June. Late July and all of August might be a different story. Our schedule, though, required an 1100 arrival so we knew we were going to be fighting through the crowds. Our number one approach to this kind of situation is to climb up as high as possible as quickly as possible in the hopes of leaving any stragglers behind, a sort of thinning of the herd, as it were.

Few other tourists had bothered to make the detour so while we found the exhibit to be exceptional, we also had it largely to ourselves.
