The club was in a neighborhood called Vila Madalena which has lots of bars and clubs, very popular with USP students - it’s the kind of artsy, hippie, where-it’s-at area. Lots of the walls are covered in graffiti... some of it is incredible! Soooo what did we do, slept till 12, attempted the markets and a bit of shopping (with everything closed on a Sunday). Both pretty average. Back to the hostel for a nap. Then hit the town again. ... and 1am on the weekends. In concert taxi prices go up 20% as soon as public transit shuts down. In addition, lines to purchase a ticket, which is only one way, are extremely long especially during rush hour. Hundreds of people waiting for 6 ticket windows to open. Only 3 were ever open at any time while we were there.

I would be hacked off too.

However, it does not give credence to a bunch of young jackasses to run amok and ...

Anyway, the airport was a lot more interesting than in Chile. This was the first time ever that the plane did not connect directly to the gate. When we pulled up in just an empty space it was a bit strange, like a quarantine or something. But then a line of buses turned up and took us to the actual terminal. Certainly an interesting experience.
