... bloodily scary I can tell you and a bit of a plot I think by the donkey owners to pay back those not riding !

Anyway, the climb was worth it as the village of Oia is like every Greek postcard you've ever seen rolled into one. The buildings hug the cliff top, and are like sugar cubes houses. There colours of the white buildings, blue church roofs and stands of bougainvillea was breathtaking. Around each corner of the narrow windy lanes was ...

... were very strange as we're used to white soft sand but it was a cool experience, especially hearing the black pebbles being washed away by the tide. It sounded like hail! The wind generator will give Orca enough power to run the two fridge freezers and enable us to watch TV for as long as we like in the evenings as well as all other functions on the boat.

The last night in Paros, was spent in a cove that was sheltered from the northerly wind (Meltemi) and we awoke early at 5am and prepared Orca for our next destination.

Day 49 - Not feeling so well...

A travel blog entry by kiwiholly on Jun 02, 2012

... headed forth on an adventure down to the bottom of the cliff to the beach! This was a very steep, rocky decline to a black and red, pebbled beach. We had a beautiful swim in the clear waters, skimmed stones and enjoyed the sunshine. Ascending the cliff face to get back home was another story…at this point I couldn’t really understand why my lungs felt like they were going to explode every couple of steps, but eventually I made ...
