After our incredible day at Sipadan we was due to dive Kapalai island on our third day, Kapalai isn't so much of a island more of a sand bank in the middle of the sea with a resort on stilts built on it. The diving here is mostly muck diving which is mainly sand and searching for the small weird little critters that hide in it. We all entered the water and as we descended I made it to only 2 metres before a sharp pain in my left ear hit me, I ...

... package including food. We was to get up early and leave on the 7am boat to go to the island of Mabul where we would drop our bags off, they would have all of our scuba gear set up, ready to go waiting for us and we would do our first and second dive then check in to our room before our third dive, it was sounded like a busy few days. So the following day we woke up and according to plan made our way over to Mabul island along with the ...

The bus was supposed to depart at about 6.30 but it didnīt start moving before 7.00. I was getting a bit nervous because I was afraid of missing my ferry to Labuan which would completely ruin our plans. According to some people the ...

We spent our last day of diving out on an island called Siamil, next stop the Philippines. It's so beautiful there, there's literally nothing on the island except for a military base, these guys actually had their machine gun set up pointing out to sea, ready for action, so while that was a little disconcerting we were sure we would be kept safe out there for the day! Plus, as our guide Simon pointed out, we ...

... on the second dive at Hanging gardens where we entered the mouth of a cave cutting right through the extinct volcano that makes up the island. With the overhangs above and drop off below surrounded in every shade of blue imaginable, this was one of the coolest single sights we have seen. Similar level of awe inspiring stuff to being really high up in the mountains with jaw-dropping terrain all around! "Same same but different as they say in Thailand!"

The ...
