Our journey to Mabul Island was a little bit challenging but nothing we couldnīt struggle with. When I found out that it would be too expensive to fly from Miri to Kota Kinabalu (KK) the next day, I started looking for another cheaper option and managed to purchase a flight ticket from Miri to Labuan, a Malaysian island situated 120 km from KK, which cost around RM 170 (including luggage). We did our checks and went down on the side of the reef and saw some more amazing animals and corals. We came up 45 minutes later as Blake and I both ran out of air, at the final ascent my ears didn't equalise properly ...

... Faimee (from KL) and Natalia from Venezuela for our first dives. We went over the equipment, standard procedures then got into the water and practiced diving. I was decent at it but struggled with breathing and when a little fish bit Faimee I lost it, laughed, choked then swam 6m to the surface exhaling the whole way but not ...
