The transport back to Sandakan conveniently dropped Lilibet, Caroline (German) and I off at an enroute bus stop perfectly timed to catch the bus to Semporna. The journey was about 5 hours and the roads were well paved and the traffic light. The only minus was the smelly loo on the bus! ... my ear! I tried for 5 minutes but it wasn't to be for some reason my ear was blocked and would not equalise, that was the end of my dive! Emma and Oli continued while I sat on the boat in the sunshine trying to remain a little bit positive. After the dive we returned to Mabul island and I decided to sit out the rest of the days dives and hopefully be better for the final days diving. ... a look. I put my head in again to watch the bump heads and then a huge 2 metre turtle swam by my leg followed by another. We descended only to around 3-4 metres and there was fish everywhere! ... so the floor became soaking wet as well. It was quite funny!

Besides me there were two more foreigners in the bus and to our surprise, the bus driver stopped a few kilometers from the ferry terminal and told us to wait for another bus – no. 33. It was 8.00! The bus no. 33 showed up within 10 minutes, we hopped on and continued. We finally reached the ferry terminal at about 8.20, just on time.
