After our incredible day at Sipadan we was due to dive Kapalai island on our third day, Kapalai isn't so much of a island more of a sand bank in the middle of the sea with a resort on stilts built on it. The diving here is mostly muck diving which is mainly sand and searching for the small weird little critters that hide in it. We all entered the water and as we descended I made it to only 2 metres before a sharp pain in my left ear hit me, I ...

So the following day we woke up and according to plan made our way over to Mabul island along with the ...

When I arrived the bus no. 38 was already waiting for its passengers so I got on quite confidently. I was charged only BND 1 for the whole ride! The bus was supposed to depart at about 6.30 but it didnīt start moving before 7.00. I was getting a bit nervous because I was afraid of missing my ferry to Labuan which would completely ruin our plans. According to some people the ...

... saw some pretty cool stuff surprisingly enough (or not surprisingly for those who are used to doing this kind of thing) including flying grenards, which actually look like they have wings; pipefish, porcupinefish, nudibranches, shrimps etc. We rounded off our fantastic stay in Mabul with a few beers with Simon in the resort bar, got ready to head back to Semporna the next morning and waved a sad goobye to ...
