We left the Borneo jungle to go scuba diving off some islands off the coast of Malaysia. We decided to book a scuba tour to go to Sipadan island which is considered one of the top diving destinations in the world. It was discovered by Jaques Cousteau and ever since people cross the globe to get a chance to see one of the most beautiful coral reefs in the world. In order to go out there you need a special permit that only a few dive companies ...

After the dive it was a back to the island for some cake before our 3rd dive down to the entrance of a huge cave system that goes under Sipadan island before ending up back at barracuda point. Then back to the island for lunch before starting our final dive. This dive was along the vertical wall that drops down to over 1000 metres, the day before a group had seen a school of hammerhead sharks out ...

... there was also countless turtles and loads of other fish too all along a huge coral wall that dropped down into the deep. After our first dive we returned to the island for our surface interval and went into the scuba junkies resort, set just back from it's own beach with some really nice bungalows before you reached the main area of reception, dive shop, restaurant and chill out area with a bar up stairs. It all looked pretty swanky. We had ...
