... 2hr - we will save that path for when we have an ATV. On the Old Road to Fira you walk through all of Imerovigli, and because of our hotel's high elevation as you descend into the town your path actually run along the roof tops of other hotels and restaurants. It really feels like you're waking in the clouds. Near Imerovigli is Skaros Rock which most tourist climb for uninstructed views of the sunset. The views from this rock are very cook, but he view ...

We tried to chalk it up to island life and reminded ourselves we had nowhere to rush. Anyway, my greek salad and zucchini fritters were yummy, and Matt enjoyed his swordfish. ... this time we weren't going to blend in with the white sand). Along with lazy days lolling on deck chairs on the beach, we went on a six hour boat cruise to Oia to see the sunset (Dudley, this is where I have to agree with you: it just doesn't beat Clifton. Disgustingly spoilt Capetownians that we are.). We literally jumped ship to swim in the Mediterranean, so blue that we could see the ocean floor. We became zombie tourists emerging ...

... can see the sea. And the centre of town is a short walk up the hill (yes, more hills and steps!).
Later I headed back to town to post my postcards and found the town quiet and the sun shining - magic.
At 6:30pm, the three of us headed to Oia by cab to catch the sunset. The trip notes said we were going to walk but I suspect Marta decided not to because of Lauren's knee. Lauren misunderstood what our plans were for the ...
