        ... they caught the culprit. Cash gone, but cards still there. Spent most of the day experiencing the 'efficiency' of the police department as we waited, were sent away, waited again, and finally given the purse after signing a statement that my purse was 'lost'. Seems to save them a lot of work, rather than saying it was stolen.

        ... our sunset last night and used the word magical and I thought it was so fitting. The scenery on Santorini is so diverse for an island that is so small. It is 37 square miles. Not much! But the variety of things to see and experience was just a treat.

        ... s an all inclusive ticket for the colosseum as well and the lines always shorter, indeed it was so we made the forum our next stop - especially as it was to close early because of a strike (it turns out the Italians strike a lot, it's a thing). The forum is a random collection of various types of ruin with your standard temple, housing, monument style things going on in various states of disrepair. There were some pretty cool buildings and arches and there's the Palantine Hill ...

I tested by hand all the pools - but they are unheated and very cold when the sun is not out. Even the "hot tubs" are not heated. When we arrived it was very windy - so no temptation at all to swim.
