... and twist/bang the **** out of my foot. It swelled so big I couldn't even fit my climbing shoe back on... so after this I became what is knows as "Belay *****." Lee had a great climb sesh though. He onsighted some 11's and we giggle at a pompous guide hanging around the crag trying to be big and bad.

I will return and conquer the other routes without incident!

At this point, everybody was ready to quit. But Sandy and I are true waterfall heroes and we weren't done yet - there's always time for one more waterfall. So just the two of us, continued heading east on the highway and got off I-40 in Morganton and headed to South Mountains State Park. Fall color was peaking at these lower elevations, so it wasn’t surprising that the park was very crowded. ...

So wade and I stopped for a stretch and we were both complaining. The ride was so long and our backs hurt and we were tired and some Ducoti's passed us like we were in reverse. As we were sitting there a guy in a 1200 GS came around the corner, saw us and came in. First thing he says is, "what state am I in?" He goes on to examine that he was at the qualifying for the GS team USA challenge that will compete against 24 other countries ...
