We stopped for the night after 10 hours on the road. The girls have been great so far. We had some BBQ in Little Rock and strolled around the local mall for a couple hours. Ran into some storms and construction or the last 2 hours, but made it safely. We swam and went bowling in Fort Smith. A good Day ...

... the time comes. The Walker's are also very savvy to the same issues, and it is their habit to do the same. So we were able to all board the plane straight away, and found our seats and room for hand luggage.

The flight up to London from Accra was relatively short - about 6 hours - but I was able to sleep very little. Once in Heathrow the three of us had breakfast in a nice airport restaurant, and then went to the frequent flyer lounge ...

... and curio shops to take photos. I didn't take out the film gear as time is an issue...but we did a fair amount of digital work...and there are some cool places!

Our favorite Tucumcari motel was The Blue Swallow. At 80 bucks or so a night, there are cheaper rooms out by the interstate...but none with the personality of these. Everything looks original, including the garages to park your car right next to your room. ...
