... in the hostel were like their own family. Even the outsiders looked like family. We stayed until about 11:00 and decided we would rather go to bed.

The music went on until 3am every night. We used ear plugs to try and drown out the noise. We woke up everyday at 07:30 to go to breakfast early and get out to the beach as soon as possible. One day we spent all day in the room both as sick as dogs with flu. We would not have booked there if I had read the review, but we were ...

... somehow timed it wrong more than once and ended up heading back inside quickly due to the rain. Fortunately, the apartment is really spacious and comfortable and Jason was able to get a lot of work done while I did a lot of reading and relaxing. ... FOREVER!

It was nice having a great day with her and leaving the country with a good farewell to all my friends and family. This will be an adventure to remember for sure. It will be probably about 2 weeks until my next blog unless I find some free wifi at one of the islands along the way.

I'm looking forward to Day 2 on the ship, Cinco de Mayo! Ayyyyyy! Until next time guys! Stay thirsty my friends!

Day 99 - Last day in Playa del Carmen

A travel blog entry by jayandbob on Sep 19, 2013

Today I decided we needed to have a better crack at sending our stuff home in the post. So after breakfast and getting ready we took all our things we wanted to send and headed out with intent to get it done. I asked the nice receptionist lady where I could acquire a box to send a parcel, as that was what we were told we needed from the guy at the post office, she told me that Walmart would be our best bet. We got directions and headed off. After ...
