Finally we got a tram back to Sutter Street and walked a few blocks back to our hotel - knackered. Even though it was 5am UK time the periodic rumble of trams on the street was strangely soothing. Anyway - I knew that we would be up with the lark at about 5am local - I love jet lag when travelling west-about - it's like it's designed to help you get the most out of the day.
