Before we leave the Whitsundays we have booked 3 days on Daydream leaving Saturday and hopefully the wind settles down so we can take the kids to the reef. I also hope to have a fish tomorrow and do a little exploring beyond the walls of this park.

The reef and the red dirt awaits.

    Bring it ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still not feeling too good so decide to have a lay down, so Matt heads to the wharf for a bit of a fish. But alas comes home disheartened. He had caught 2 yesterday. Smallish queenies. ... little to the town, but there was a road going off to Sarina Beach. Ah! we thought - this is where all the action is. The beach was nice and quiet, and yes, there was one cafe at the Surf Life Saving Club, but really nothing else. And I think that is all that club did, because there was certainly no surf. All the beaches here are very calm and flat, with the sand being a dirty brown colour. Apparently that is the effect of the Great Barrier Reef off shore.
