We went on the outskirts of the Lassen Volcanic National Park and saw some lava fields but didn't stop since we had seen enough. We reached the summit for this trip at 6933 feet so it is all downhill. At a town called OLD STATION population 51 we started southbound. Sometimes it seemed like we were going the wrong direction to get to Reno but it made the road easy to travel.

Here it is December 1st already, where does the time go soon it will be 2014.
We are now in Sparks, NV and plan on staying here until Tuesday morning, there is a storm a brewing here also and suppose to arrive on Tuesday. Needless to say we will be getting the hell out of here and still heading south.

It could be a very long drive, but after a huge storm the night before the desert was all green and the cloud cover kept it nice and cool.
