... the guide book later, we had not been taken to the main places of interest in the town at all! Hadrian's gate, the old Roman city walls, the picturesque harbour... all these were ignored and left out of our tour altogether!

When we reached the square in which there is a large statue of Attaturk to celebrate the freedom of the republic, we were given some free time and allowed to wander and explore for ourselves. But not for long!

Spent a chilled day sleeping in till 10, walked to the sea and enjoyed the sun. Relaxed at Alla place then went to eat pide and go walking. Finally home for dinner and off to catch my midnight bus to bodrum. The bus is full, the road is windy and around mountains and I speak two words in Turkish! Lol ...
