... 30 odd boats already reporting into our Radio Net it was great to put faces to names.

Helen and Justin took the opportunity to ferry across to the neighbouring island of Sao Antao and found it to be quite a contrast to where we were moored. Definitely a lot poorer and not as many facilities.

But it was always intended as a brief stop, so on 3 December having checked the weather, checked the last emails, we left to do "The Pond" as the Brits call it.

I left Praia for Sao Vicente on the 3rd of March. I was accompanied to Sao Vicente with my cousin Nilton Barros, who is a basketball coach of the Rebels/New England Ballers.
