The ticket girl said yes the show was at 9, but the first dancing might be 9:30, 9:45, or 10, but it would finish at 12! After lunch, we go a "free" champagne art auction. Some pieces sell for over $20 000. We win the raffle for a piece of art work, which ends uo costing $350 to frme and send home.
We get constant invites to future auctions, as valued customers. We stay well away.
Dinner tonight requires formal dress. We :"frock up" and enjoy the meal. Photographers tske lots of photos of us and we buy a few for about $150.
