Woke up in Piraeus ,the port of Athens, this morning. Just below John and Dot's window a drama was unfolding. Police in riot clothing appeared to be making a drug arrest. The guards are like the English guards that can not move - our guide said their is a YouTube video of a protest that was taking place in the square and the police had to use tear gas to break up the crowds and the poor guards just had to stand there, I guess the video shows a tear running down one of the guard's faces. I'm not sure how effective the guards would be in battle ...
