... drinks on our balcony whilst watching the sun set. It was so beautiful ! Just after the sun went down there was applause from the hotels around the cliff side - very surprising. This was our last holiday place before returning home, the sun has come out and it's so great we don't want to leave ..... ... a tender to the dock. There were a few people staying
on the island after the boat left so we said farewell to them at the
dock and then headed to the bus that would take us on our tour. The
docks were crowded with people and cars, there were 6 cruise ships in
the bay and 2 ferries from other islands had docked here as well.

Ths morning we docked in Crete. When we arrived we walked through town and found a fountain. From there we walked through a fortress. The viewfrom the top was gorgeous!! Once back on board we set sail for Santorini!! Once there we jumped on the sailboat we set sail around a volcanic island. We then got on that island and began the hike to the top. ... When we finally got to the bottom, we got a boat over to the volcano. The walk to the top was a pretty steep 20-30 minute walk - was nice to get some exercise! The last time the volcano erupted was 50 or so years ago, so it is due to erupt again soon which was a little bit scary! Once we'd had a look around the volcano, we walked back down onto the boat where we then sailed around to the other side of the volcano where there is hot springs and mud-baths! ...

So, we woke up to the most amazing view we´d ever seen! Our hotel was located at the top of the caldera, so we had a perfect view down over the white houses and hotels into the beautıful Aegean sea. We pretty much just stared at it for a while and then went to breakfast. After that, Laura and İ went out to meet up wıth Lucia whıle the other two slept in.
