... too, lots of people from California coming to Vegas for the weekend. Just a drive through a huge dessert! However, we were excited to be going back to Vegas, despite the fact it hadn't been our highlight so far. We are looking forward to visiting old Vegas and Freemont street.
Checked in, our hotel is huge, got an upgrade to a jacuzzi room. Had a couple of hours by the pool to relax. If anything , I hope we can chill in Vegas before we go ...

... and it's a recreation of Bedrock City from the Flintstones. However, time has taken over this version of it [there's another in South Dakota] and it's seriously like a creepy ghost town on Route 66 or a post-atomic bomb settlement where there are little to no survivors... However, that's just a part of the charm, in my opinion. The buildings are falling apart, the paint is fading, it's practically abandoned, and I had to check it out before it disappears ...

... but we had a short stop at Dolan Springs for a real bathroom break & snack stop. The last leg of the journey was spent with each of us going to the front of the bus to share our favorite thing & what we would "take home." It was pretty emotional hearing how each had been touched by our mutual adventure but in deep individual ways. It was a wonderful end to a grand trip.
