It is only one of two regions within greater Spain classified at the highest level for wine production and, as such, the standards are very rigid. ... Catalan foods that night -- Iberico ham, and Pom de Tomate (rustic bread toasted and then infused with the juice of ripe tomatoes on top). The entire meal was sublime and the wine exceptional. In fact, I ended up purchasing some of the wine we had this first night as it really stood out to me.

Luckily we had only to walk up a couple of flights to our rooms. It was almost midnight when we turned in and I know I slept the best that night of any on our trip.

... got us back on the proprty search. In town we spotted two other properties so went off to find the local agent. He spoke no English so the next hour or so were interesting. I'd asked about one place but he got the keys for another on the same street. One was very old and a big project. The second was fully renovated and very nice but too expensive. Then he showed a third, a new build flat. The search will continue....
