      ... as their brand new stadium is a five minute walk from the hotel. Unfortunately it is so new that it isn't being used yet and the match was at a different stadium. By the time we realised it was late and rainy, so we left it for another time.
      We left for the airport by taxi at 1 o'clock. It has been a great trip, and we have been overwhelmed by the friendliness and generosity of the Brazilian people we have met. We're hoping to be back soon.

      ... we saw another guy with luggage and he came up to us asking if we were also headed to the airport. Of course we said yes and he suggested that we all take a cab together as it would be cheaper. This guy was a native Brazilian who was presently living in Sao Paulo and told us that we could get a cab for 80 Real total while the bus would cost us 37 Real each.       ... two thousand hours of practice, at least I'm starting to build up mileage really fast. Although the light at the end of the tunnel remains a long way off, I definitely have made a lot of progress.
