... side marina through a serious coral reef zigzagging between the coral heads, this place has a fantastic viewed beach bar. In the evening phil felt bad with man flu but I went ashore for a few drinks in the bar and met some locals ( an Irishman and a Scotsman !!!) there must be a joke somewhere, and I chatted with Bob and Cam the owners of the place – the bar has only been open for 6 weeks.

But waking up late the next morning and looking out from my balcony, I was not disappointed by the hotel complex and the indirect view I have of the ocean. Hotels are ridiculously expensive in the Grace Bay area of the Providenciales island. Guess u can charge what you like when your beach is rated #2 in the world. I couldn’t justify ...

After uneventful (and half empty) flights from Philly, we arrived in Provo mid-afternoon.The water was stunning as we came in for a landing. My criteria for selecting an island were crystal clear, calm waters and soft sand. And that's what I saw out the window.

Getting through the airport was a breeze. I don't think it took more than 20 minutes to go through immigration, ...

... as we stepped foot in the West Bay Club. There's not much else I can say that hasn't already been said about this pink, yellow and orange goodness that is found in every restaurant and hotel bar in Grace Bay, and which ignites many a passionate argument as to who makes the best version. Some hotels try to entice tourists with other tantalizingly named cocktails (sundown shaker anyone?), but this one was my favorite (although Daniel's rum soaked in ...
