    We woke up to clouds and sunshine the start of the big storm that it expected to hit us tomorrow.     ... Brian kiteboards upwind to me with my kite. Brian just stood there while I kited for the first couple of times to watch me but now swims back to the beach to get his own kite and chaperone me while kiteboarding. The reason I swim it out rather than kite it out like all experienced kiteboarders would do is explained in the close calls below.

    ... side marina so stayed for the second day, We were taken off to the supermarket by Bob and Cam the owner and a mate of his who comes down with his wife each year from Canada when its cold and wet up there- good call Cam – it is a small but very pleasant marina, with a great eyeball entry through the coral heads, only suitable for shoal draft yachts -5ft max – sorry “Persephone”

    ... 9pm and dark by the time I got to my hotel in Turks and Caicos, so I didn’t see much from the taxi ride or when flying in. But waking up late the next morning and looking out from my balcony, I was not disappointed by the hotel complex and the indirect view I have of the ocean. Hotels are ridiculously expensive in the Grace Bay area of the Providenciales island. Guess u can charge what you like when your beach is rated #2 in the world. I couldn’t justify ...

    After uneventful (and half empty) flights from Philly, we arrived in Provo mid-afternoon.The water was stunning as we came in for a landing. My criteria for selecting an island were crystal clear, calm waters and soft sand. And that's what I saw out the window.
