    ... head to Portland and then the next day - we get to our "real" destination, Aunt Sarah's farm! We are two weeks into the trip now and have figured out some ways to make things go smoothly and to fend off boredom in the car.     Anyway, a nice, nice, peaceful visit to the Kennewick, Washington area.

    South East Asia...?

    ... in a radically different part of the world. This past semester I completed a World Religions class to prepare for the trip, and learned about many different religions including Buddhism, which is very prevalent in South East Asia, namely Theravada Buddhism.
    I hope to learn a lot.
    I'm hoping this will be somewhat of a spiritual journey for me, and I pray that the experiences I have over the next few months will help shape me into a better person.

    It was a really big day of travelling today. We woke up at five in the morning in New York, because our flight was leaving at 8 from La Guardia Airport. We said goodbye to our New York apartment, and then goodbye to New York City as we drove out of it on the highway.
