... hour earlier here, than in Greece. With the outside temperature in the low 90's, I found myself once again retreating to my "refrigerator" cabin. The AC on the Milena works exceptionally well in my cabin... Unlike the aft "captain's cabin", where the coolness is just mediocre. I have loved this smaller cabin for well over 35 years. When it is as hot as it has been for the last few days, this cabin is the very ...

According to the lonely planet, this area was prone to earthquakes, not sure if this is why one whole side of loads of the massive two lane viaducts simply weren't there anymore... Puglia was a ...

We arrived at Brindisi at around 8.30 after a bit if a hot night on the boat. The ferry was OK but the AC in the cabin was poor, though a man said it could have been changed; maybe.... The cabin itself was good and the crossing smooth but it was bit a short hot night. Getting off the boat was also slow, not helped but unbelievably stupid lot who managed to have an accident on the boat deck due to impatience.... ...

... Renaissance period of architecture that was all straight lines and asymmetrical, the baroque period used a style that went totally against this - twisted columns; windows on balconies that are off-centre to the arch it was intended to co-exist with; slopping balconies; churches with a fašade that has nothing behind it.

The guide also informed us that when the old city was restored in the mid-20th century, the powers that be of Lecce placed ...
