Normally we are running late to the airport. Like when we were going to Paris, we almost missed the plane, no seriously. They were paging us like crazy and we had to sprint to the gate.
Today though, we were on time but of course, the plane delayed. Why is it that when you're running late, the plane is early but when you're running on time, the plane is late? Go figure!!!!
From Minneapolis, we will fly to Chicago, then to Miami and after a 4 ...
... Mall of America. The mall is big with the stores in an outer circle and four levels leaving space for kiddie rides in the middle which included a roller coaster. I had a great meal in a barbecue restaurant comprising of a burger with brisket added to the burger meat, topped with pulled pork and two thick slices of jalapeno bacon with chip - Yum!
Wonder how hot it will get tomorrow?
... to the conference site to attend a couple of receptions. The second one was at the Local, which is a cool old bar. Cheered the Giants to a victory in game 2 of the World Series. Then we returned to the hotel bar for their happy hour drinks and cheap food menu. Then, to bed.
... is also right across the street from the Walker Art Center, which we learn is one of the big five museums in the US for modern art. We don’t have time to visit today, but we put it on our to-do list for our next trip to Minneapolis.
All this walking around has us really thirsty, so we head to Psycho Suzi’s Motor Lounge for some more local beers and food. Psycho Suzi’s is right along the Mississippi River with a huge outdoor patio decorated in a tiki bar ...
