... Aus. We saw Anni and Michael in Munich in May. We all went out to lunch at a beautiful outdoor Tyrolean restaurant in the hills overlooking Kufstein. Back to relax and sit in the garden of the cottage overlooking the lake that had belonged to Anni's maternal grandmother. Packing up yesterday paid dividends this morning as we were quick to check out and get on the road. We ate in the town last night and had one final sauna / swim before bed & an early start today. The drive today is one of the nicest we've had. It's a long way, 4 hours, but mostly through towns and resorts so lots to look at - stunning scenery; more wooden houses bursting with flowers, over flowing as if in competition (maybe they are?) and big mountains, really ...

... people in fluro colours and pens that glow under UV were getting around. It was a big night and one other contiki group joined us. Bunch of bloody meatheads. Hopfgarten is really nice. Very clean. No rubbish anywhere, everything is green, houses are all beautiful, it was also pretty small so easy to walk around. Cheep booze too. A bottle of vodka and a mixer for less than 10€. Not a lot to do though but were are only here for one ...

Dani arrive at 11:45 and quickly helped us purchase train tickets for the 90 minute ride to Tegernsee. We spent the time catching up, we have known Dani since his high school days spent in Honolulu and it is gratifying to see him develop into an independent young man. He was full of information on Germany and the time passed quickly.
