This will be a short post. We were up super early this morning to be on the road by 06:30 as we had to travel from Stirling to North Berwick - a journey of about 1 3/4 hours.
the drive was uneventful, but I am beginning to see why the locals are so blase about their history, every where you look there is a castle, or the site of a castle or a ruining castle or some other romantic and exciting looking place! ...

... the underground town tour and saw a bit of Arthur's Seat & the castle. She LOVED haggis and said she had enjoyed the local beers! During the week it was pretty quiet with a lot of exploring, home cooked meals (which is something you def crave when travelling) and catch up sleep on her part. Some Irn Bru was also smapled - so Scottish! The city had just been winding down after a full month of Fringe madness so she just missed the time gap for ...

... the coat of arms of the members who have been bestowed the great honor.

I walked around the backside of the church, where there was a parking lot area. Here was a large building known as the Old Parliament House. This housed the Scottish Parliament until 1707, when it was dissolved. It now holds the civil law courts. I went to the entrance, and was about to go in, when a man at the entrance said they were closed on Saturday’s, and I would need ...

... pitch-black and creepy as hell with some stories of present day experiences with the ghosts/demons that still roam down there. Needless to say we got the ***** scared out of us and Grace almost got trampled by the guy in front of her. WOW.

Tomorrow we are on the road….off to St. Andrews to check out the Old Course / Links Golf Course, and then we will make our way towards Inverness for the night…..all on the wrong side of the road! ...
