This will be a short post. We were up super early this morning to be on the road by 06:30 as we had to travel from Stirling to North Berwick - a journey of about 1 3/4 hours.
the drive was uneventful, but I am beginning to see why the locals are so blase about their history, every where you look there is a castle, or the site of a castle or a ruining castle or some other romantic and exciting looking place! ...

      When one thinks of Scotland,
it is usually the Highlands that most come to mind. They are beautiful. I've been three times now on this trip –
each trip to a different area and they have never failed to impress. The first trip early in my time here was to

During the week it was pretty quiet with a lot of exploring, home cooked meals (which is something you def crave when travelling) and catch up sleep on her part. Some Irn Bru was also smapled - so Scottish! The city had just been winding down after a full month of Fringe madness so she just missed the time gap for ...

... probably the point when we lost the proper path. We end up battling through more soft sand pits and prickly undergrowth until, guess what, we are at another long beach. I have now lost count of the number of bays and sand dune tracks we have trudged along but the path seems to have disappeared again and there is still no sign of Yellowcraig beach which we are bound to recognise as we have visited it several times ...

We got up this morning, and packed up the bags again. I picked up our laundry (yay, clean clothes!) and we chilled in the common room for a bit. Then Meghan came to pick us up from the hostel to drive us into Belfast. It took probably about an hour to get into Belfast, and we got a pretty good insight into a young persons perspective on the troubles in Northern Ireland. Apparently it's still very bad, especially in Belfast, and if people knew that Meghan (who is Catholic) was ...
