Getting up at 3.45AM was a killer!

Seemed to be a bit early really as we made good progress in getting to Nadi airport for the air Fiji flight to Sydney. We think the temperatures dropped during the night because there was a fair bit of early mist / fog around.

We were first in the check in queue - a first for us!

Result of this was sitting around for what seemed ages. Anyway left on time so that's the important thing.

... the bridge which actually didn't take as long as we had thought, around 20 minutes all in all including photo stops as its amazing point to see the Sydney Opera House. On route I found out that the Opera House is in fact three separate buildings and not one as I had first thought - see travelling does broaden your mind.

We are away again, this time to Perth for Australian Surf Lifesaving titles then flying to Singapore to join a cruise to Capetown circumnavigating the Indian Ocean. We left on Wednesday March 26. Our friends from the surf club, Robyn and George Prescott were with us. We arrived at Central and left our luggage and were instructed to go to the lounge car and have a drink till our cabin was ready. I went and viewed another apartment on Saturday and I didn’t like it, it was going to be furnished with new furniture but the kitchen was pretty old and dirty. I asked was a new kitchen going to be put in and they said no. I know I can’t cook but I am going to learn and I don’t want to be putting my food in a dirty old oven, just wasn’t overly keen on it. It had the same facilities as the other with the gym ...

... Bridge walk in the lovely sun even though it was forecast storms. A very enjoyable walk. Then the evening it was finally time to watch Bruno Mars and Miguel in concert. Miguel was absolutely 'giving it 20' and loved himself so much. We wished he would have not been quite as loud. But Bruno was amazing! A great show and a big talent. On the way home we stopped in Chinatown for some random Takayama things which were actually quite nice. A bit like chicken dough ...
