... when we get home....but inside it is bare concrete. We will see the auditorium when we go to see The Magic Flute on January 2nd.
We continued walking through The Botanical Gardens...full of specimens of Australian trees and plants...including a tree as old as the dinosaurs. Nanny took a photo of Taid next to it so that you can see two dinosaurs together...but neither of them are extinct.

... historical hotel that's now a restaurant with a rooftop bar. They had amazing chicken wings and potato wedges. Note on our observation of food in Sydney: It's priced quite high, but the quality is also extremely good.  We were picked up by Brian's boss's friend Damon, a well dressed man in his mid 40s that is both a successful corporate man, and has been a traveling musician. Sunday October 19th Up and packing again, getting good at this! Flight out of Ayers Rock to Sydney at lunchtime. Bumpy flight. Arrived 5pm local time, car to hotel. First impressions of Sydney....wonderful!!! Hotel just across from circular quay right in the rocks. Views of Opera House and Sydney Harbour bridge from room. Feel quite overwhelmed. Monday October 20th Up 6ish as on Blue Mountains trip. Very long day. Weather not great so views spoilt a bit. Another wildlife park, ...

... We had planned to go onto Bondi Beach, but we ran out of time. We will now do that tomorrow. Stopped off at Darling Harbour and had lunch (with a Tooey Extra Dry Beer). 20:00. We had an invite for dinner from Mei's Uncle and he took us to a Thai Restaurant. There were eleven of us, not quite sure what I ate, but it was hot but very tasty and had to have another beer (a Singha Beer this time). Came back to Matt's house still quite tired and crashed ...

It was great to see David and Jo again and plans for the weekend immediately took shape when we learnt that Jo's brother Michael had taken ownership of a coffee shop in the Blue Mountains. Travelling over to Mount Victoria in an air conditioned car was a good choice given that the temperature was in the low forties even in the mountains.
