    ... a farmer's market still continues and we were able to pick up fresh produce. Lots of shops line the square, and some members of our group found it necessary to sample ice-cream.

    ... at a campsite about 9 miles outside town. I had picked up the tent I had ordered that day before leaving Pearisburg, so I took the opportunity to set it up (I still needed to seam seal it, so it wasn't completely waterproof yet, but as it was Sunday and the post office was closed, I was still carrying my hammock as well, so I hung my tarp over it). It pretty much sweeps up most of the hikers within a few hundred miles either direction of Damascus, and the town is completely overrun with hiker trash, so much so that they create an entire area called Tent City to house them all and run shuttle back and forth constantly.     Before leaving Damascus Stealth and I thought it would be pretty cool to have a cookout at the hostel we were staying at.
