... amazing pizzeria was followed by alpine mini-golf (yours truly emerging victorious. Of course.) before a chilled night in the cabin. Which led us to Sunday 28th, and check out ahead of the 6 and a half hour drive to the Florida panhandle. The past few days have been a mix of things. It's interesting how, even though I'm doing the same thing every day, each day is very different. My journey started semi-roughly when most of my gear didn't make it to Atlanta with me. Thankfully, it ended up at the hostel the next morning and I was able to pack it up before catching the shuttle to the start of the trail.

... the Blue Ridge railway line. Our choice was the #1 B&B on most travel sites: Aska Lodge. The owners, Ric and Janet deserve the accolades as Aska Lodge lives up to it's reputation. Terrycloth robes, bamboo linen, specialist breakfasts and incredible hosts made it an unforgettable experience.
And so we headed back, filled with fresh mountain air, southern hospitality and life long friends from as far as Germany. All in a week. ...
