Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India abhiplzDo you know where the Universe was created? We just found out. We actually went to that place! It's called Kurukshetra (about 90 km from Chandigarh). It's the land where Lord Brahma created the Universe. Kurukshetra is a pilgrimage town but also the land of something like 360 places of pilgrimages.
In the town itself there are many temples such as Sthaneshwar Mahadev Temple and really nice Ma Bhadra Kali Temple nearby a quite ...

... a Rajasthan tour including Jaipur, Jodphur, Udiapur, Pushkar, Rantambore, Varanasi and then on to Agra to see the Taj. The highlights were defenitly Udaipur where we celebrated Jamie's 22 birthday at the Lake Palace, the Taj Mahel in all is polluted glory and the ghats and Ganges boat ride in Varanasi- floaters and all. North India was a crazy crazy place, very overwhelming, chaotic and dirty, but lots to amazing things to see, good curries and a really interesting trip.
Delhi, Jaipuir, Jodphur, Udaipur, Pushkar, Rantambore, Agra, India jamieandkyla... turned right with the track, which then came to an abrupt halt at a tiny thatch roof. Clearly used as shelter for farm-workers during the day, the shack was open on three sides and contained two earthenware water pots and a strip of sackcloth. We ummed and ahhed about pitching tents, eyeing the combine harvester 2 fields away to guess if we'd be seen. I suggested jokingly -we could skip the tents and kip under this roof! as soon as I'd said it realised it mightn't be such ...
Nirwana, India dynamo... sudden for everyone. I walked in the room and they were all sitting there with all this food set up, clapping. Then they brought out the cake (there were actually 2). I was really touched. They made me cut the cake and when I did they started cheering. I was so overwhelmed. The students then gave me a gift, which was material for a Punjabi Suit, this is how you usually buy them and then you bring them to a tailor to get fitted. The pink sweater ...
Chandigarh, India rachellemironWe reached my place in Panchkula at about 2100 hrs. I asked Vaiby to come along with me to Roy's place so we can bring our luggage from his place. Meanwhile the rest of the

... in all of my life - and the trash, the smells, it's astonishing. I managed to get out of the taxi with my 35 pound pack - stepping all over trash and whatever else there was in the street - paid the guy the equivalent of 25 cents and went inside. The staring began. And it continues...EVERYONE stares, in fact, you feel like a celebrity - people want photos with you, they videotape you - it's crazy. So fast forward to the train ride, it's a 12 hour journey on 2 ...
