Today we left Yellowstone behind and enjoyed a trip through mountains and valleys to the Triple Creek Lodge in Darby Mt. We visited the Roosevelt Arch at the North Entrance to Yellowstone, followed the Yellowstone, Gallatin, and Bitterroot rivers as we made our way to the Bitterroot Mountains in Mt. We enjoyed excellent food and drink at the Lodge and Sally found her first TV in 6 days Tomorrow we float the Bitterroot River fly fishing and then pan for ...

We left Glacier National Park as we found it: cold, wet and shrouded in wispy clouds. It made it easier to say good-bye since it wasn't good hiking weather anyway. After four days, it was time to move on and we were looking forward to seeing long-time friends, Mikey and Debbie Reid.

... The site is very level so we can keep the truck hooked up to the trailer and it has the bonus of city power at 34 sites. We used our America The Beautiful Old Timer's pass for a 50% discount on the $20 camping fee but paid a $9 fee for making an online reservation. Had we winged it and just drove in about a third of the sites were vacant and we wouldn't have had to pay the reservation fee.
Anyway we feel so fortunate to have saved a buck using our Seniors Pass!

... there is a BMW dealership in Missoula. SInce this is less than 10 miles from the beginning of the Lolo Pass highway, we'll hit the road early, stop in, and let them secure it properly. It is true what they say about BMW tool kit consisting of a cell phone and a credit card.
