Left home at 9:00 am thinking I might need extra time for my flight. WRONG. Sat waiting for the plane for two and a half hours finally boarded and was on the way to NYC where I got on the next plane, a 10 hour flight to Sao Paulo. They served pretty good dinner and breakfast on the plane as well as complimentary cocktails, so a few whiskey cokes and I was set to pass out watching the newest Harry Potter movie. The Henry Ford Museum
Today, me and Kerry along with Lynn and Logan met up with Jayne to cross the border and visit the Henry Ford Museum in Detroit.
Personal highlights included the 'house of the future' which was round and metallic. It was so successful that only one was ever made! The wiener-mobile which used to drive round selling hot dogs was another favourite part.

Logan's School
... the materials that were taken down from the previous school that stood there were recycled and inside the new school they use rain water for the toilets, natural lighting as much as possible and they even have a living wall - a wall of tropical plants that helps clean the air.

Baking & Buying
... invested in a jersey for Kerry, a training top and jacket for Dan and a few other bits.
After the Pistons store we went to outdoor world which is a massive mix of walking gear, hunting gear and fishing gear. There was a whole section dedicated to guns which was interesting and also slightly scary.
When we got back Chris had put the tree up and turned all the lights on, starting to get the Christmas feeling now!

College Basketball
... advertising boards and the team logo on the court. I can't imagine a university game back home having that much funding or as big a crowd as there were.
Both the womens and mens team won their games, the standard was pretty good, especially in the womens game. Hopefully with the lockout ending we will get to see an NBA game before heading ...
