The next Church we visited had the original construction of a church on the site under glass on the floor, this church had sustained major damage in both World Wars as well as the war of liberation and been rebuilt to resemble the church on the site before the wars. The cathedral was the highlight of Sofia to me. Particularly the inside of the cathedral. There were no pulpits or chairs there and it was very open. ... so utilized the day to our greatest advantage by taking the train to the downtown core. Vienna was HOT, beautiful with amazing sights and tastes! After exhausting ourselves we made our way back to the airport for our 9:45pm flight to Sofia, Bulgaria which was delayed more than two hours. We arrived at a foreign country in Eastern Europe whose leader was once an ‘illegal alien’ at 3 am…………….. More next ...
