      This morning we woke in the mountains to a beautiful view and much cooler temperatures. We drove a short distance to the monastery and had a peaceful walk around. It was beautiful.       ... the parade, Shelby, Maeve, and I decided to get into the spirit of Kukeri and get our faces painted. We could have gone with a menacing werewolf or evil devil..but instead we chose pink, sparkly butterflies. More our speed. We also enjoyed some nice doughnuts and pancakes made fresh in the square.
