Long day of travelling today. Set off around 10. Travelled thru Belgium & the Netherlands before arriving in Germany. Only 3 stops required ('mum I need a wee, dad I need a poo, We're HUNGRY!!'). Went out for tea at the campsite across the roads' restaurant and got soaked in a thunder storm. Looking forward to a busy day at Playmobile land tomorrow. We walked into town from the Westend, past the large Deutsche Bank skyscrapers. Frankfurt is Germany's New York because it has so many skyscrapers, but that is the only comparison you can draw! Perhaps also because it has a Börse (Stock Exchange) and is a finance centre. It is home to many different corporations including the European Central Bank and the Detusche Bundesbank. The city has more banks than the Nile River!

Cheril birthday. Left Bamberg in the rain 8.30am. Bus to wertheim for an early lunch at the castle. Built in 1170, River flood and car park closed. 20 year flood expected. So we have arrived safe and sound here in Frankfurt. Started our day off by dropping bags off at the hotel and eating some sort of Turkish breakfast pastry (not the greatest but after the flight and lack of sleep it did the trick).
