... like – there are no tracks. You speed and whiz past other Guests, in and out of show scenes, and never really know where you are going. My personal favorite was the “Huffalumps and Wuzzles” scene where Pooh eats too much Honey and has a nightmare. In this big room, about 10 different ride vehicles interact with each other and various scenes. There is even a ride vehicle filled with several Huffalumps and Wuzzles that turned on in ...
Chiba, Kanto, Japan bethere... of the past, (ask me some time about the "ghost story!") and eventually we all started to wind down, full and tired. We said our goodbyes a few times (in the traditional MN way!) and Obasan lifted her chair to see us off. She looked me square in the eye and told me that she wanted to see me again, and I told her I would do my best to return to her some day. It was a nice visit, and now I had met the core of Kaoru's blood family.
Chiba, Kanto, Japan sablevulpe... a moment, staring blankly at the ground, and then all at once decided it was a better idea to see if everyone was okay. We left the bus stop and headed in the direction of the sound. "The sound had come from just over this hill!" I remarked. With disappointed faces we reach the top of the hill only to discover that the horrible noise had come from the bus we were waiting for. The city had recently switched to electric buses and it ...
Tokyo, Kanto, Japan curiousface... sort but as no one talks English its never gonna happen!! A trance night in Tokyo is something to behold. Basically they will dance to anything, in the main commercial room, had a thousand people, and the DJ going mad to the crazy frogs back catalogue and a tranced up version of......i love you baby, complete with de de de de de de chorus, all very surreal but funny as ****. In the downstairs room, the tunes were outstanding and to end with a tech house version of ...
Tokyo, Kanto, Japan alwill1... the Resort Liner loop by travelling the 1 stop, past the monorail maintenance shed, back to Resort Gateway Station. Here we bloatedly boarded the next JR train back into Tokyo, where we were hoping the walk to the main part of the station would help with our digestion. Since our JR passes were still valid we transfered to the Shinkansen part of the station and boarded the next MAX (Maximum Amenity eXpress) train heading on the northern line. These trains are the latest ...
Maihama, Japan v1213... pay 50 yen into a collection box, then shake a small oblong box with a small hole in one end. The box is full of very thin pieces of wood with numbers on, in Japanese. Its like a straw selector. The number on the wood relates to a drawer in a big wooden cabinet. Inside the drawer is a fortune, written in Japanese and English. They are either good foturnes, average fortunes, or bad fortunes. Word for word, mine read: No. 53 Regular Fortune Your ...
Tokyo, Japan emmairelandYesterday was my first full day in tokyo city and i spent most of it wandering around the main large city and skyskraper areas of Shibuya and Shinjuku. I was awake since about 5 im the morning so i was gettin pretty bored just lying in my bed. I left the hotel at around 7:30 and got the subway to Shibuya which seems to be one of the busiest and craziest places in tokyo. Thousands of people cross at the huge zebra crossings every minute and ...
Tokyo, Japan roromaka... picked a place for dinner. Not bad. It was in a dark little place upstairs where people sat in their own cubicles. Ate tofu, eggplant and toasted bread, cheese and taco sauce (?) - Japanese style. Served with popcorn (strange) and washed down with Cassis and orange. Back to the apartment in Ikekuburo for packing as we leave for Vietnam tomorrow.
Tokyo, Japan beyond_the_sea... markets in Singapore, I could tell quality when I see it, and boy was this making me hungry! Having sushi and sashimi at 7am in the morning was a first for me. And having it at the king of all fish markets in the world was just unreal and unbelievably yummy. You know...I could live here...find myself a small hole in the sky, a cushy job, and have sushi every day of the year.....err...excuse me...boss, does the company have an opening for a coffee boy in Japan?
Tokyo, Japan eastcoastrod... on stage in a way that only he can. I only got to stay for about 5 songs before I had to run over to the stadium and secure my place for Nine Inch Nails. Now, there are those of you out there who may call yourselves dedicated fans. However, how many of you would sit through an hour of Slipkknot in order to secure a decent place in the crowd to see the band that you love? Yeah, not that many. And Trent bloody Reznor better be reading this and take note. I had to sit through ...
