... to see them. Staying in a little town is definitely a 'must do'. The locals are generally nicer and they seem to just enjoy life in general. Try to avoid popular 'tourist' areas because all the shops in town have horrendously inflated prices for us fools who don't know any better. Oh and another thing, make sure you hire a 'city' bike. It's the best way to see the town and give your legs a break from all the walking, that is, if you don't mind looking like a douche ( on those wanky ...

So enjoyed our time with Andrew, Sara and Emerson but all good things come to an end. Up early as they were all setting off for the mountains so Andrew could go mountain biking with a friend and "the girls" could go shopping. The lady that told us about the Monastery, also told us about Füssen and the Castle which is apparently Walt Disney's inspiration for Cinderella's Castle, we thought we would go have a look....

We arrived at around 1pm, the place was packed, car parks were full etc. etc.

... the two of us, she took us on a guided tour. An hour and a half later, having been shown around some stunningly beautiful rooms, we headed on our way. It was such a delightfully peaceful place, the magnificent ballroom still echoes to the faint sound of the ghosts of the 18th century royalty that danced there… priceless artworks and valuable antiques are mostly still intact and having the run of the place to ourselves was a wonderful way to end our German ...
