and are just about pushing you off the road to get passed.
As I head along these passes I start seeing places and buildings etc that I
remember from on my last visit here in 2012 and soon realise that I have been
over this road in the past.
I stopped at a wonderful little restaurant for lunch right at the beginning

We departed Rome on time at 7.50am and had a pleasant rail trip to Venice Mestre station where we changed to a coach for the trip to Villach. Along the way we will take a few photos and see what we can see to tell you all about. Hope you enjoy the trip with us!

To set the scene, we have included a few photos from last year's trip.

... English, had a bus timetable with him and advised us to stay on the train until Klagenfurt, three stops away. We could then board the bus for Venice from there. We would only be 11/2 hrs late. That sounded like a plan. I mean we had always wanted to go to Klagenfurt ........a relation perhaps to Frankfurt?? Not sure! Anyway, this kind young man even gave us plan B......if the bus at Klagenfurt was booked out, there was a train at 4.30pm for Venice. So there we ...
