... on to Slovenia pretty quickly. And it was a great decision as we snaked our way through the mountains, the van coping admirably, with a new stunning vista around each corner. We headed to Bled and a campsite on the lake, but an avalanche of tourists for the Bled festival meant that it was completely full. Spectacular mountain views from the top of the Reisseckbahn. First take a three stage cable driven trains up an incredibly steep slope following a hydroelectric dam pipeline, then a tiny train through a tunnel under the mountain. Lots of walks and restaurants at the top. Remnants of melting snow left here and there in hot sunny ...

... finish packing up Svenice before we drove Tim to the airport. We dropped him off and said our arrivederci's and it all became too much for sensitive soul Ruby who was most distraught. She cried for about 10 minutes as we drove but eventually she got over it only to have a bit of a relapse further on. We had a few issues on our drive today the first of which was being unable to get on the motorway in the direction we wanted to go. ...
