I would like to acknowledge and thank some of our recent guests for their invaluable comments and feed back following their recent visits to our Resort but would like to assure all readers of this advisory site:-

1) Even though the Resort has changed ownership (November 2005), a General Manager and a full Executive team has always been on the island and in the Resort, save for well earned days of rest, and has always been available for any guest to contact for any reason. I am the General Manager and am available at any time night or day.

2) We pride ourselves in the standards of cleanliness of our Resort and conduct regular inspections of all rooms through a daily program. Our Housekeeping and Laundry teams are constantly put through training standards to improve on the delivery of their own performances and if we fall short for any reason we always endeavour to remedy this immediately upon notification.

3) Food standards at our Resort are maintained at the highest possible levels, with the freshest produce available locally or internationally, whether this is the wide variety of local fresh seafood, beef from the USA, poultry from South America, Lamb from New Zealand or vegetables from Malaysia. We run stringent quality testing and frequently renew menus at our 5 main restaurant and 2 swimming pool food service areas as well as lounge , room service and banquet operations. However, the cost of importation of high quality produce cannot be maintained at "Kampong" levels and we regret that this is reflected in selling prices. We also maintain a well balanced variety of foods, from local Indonesian / Malay, Japanese, Mediterranean, Italian, French, Indian, Chinese, Vegetarian, Steaks and Seafoods as well as many other European dishes, all time favourites and pastries, and further more, our breads are produced fresh daily in our own bakery and offer a wide range of tastes to sample. We maintain a simple philosphy, if you don't see something on a menu where you are dining on any one occasion, ask and we will be delighted to accommodate your special request.

4. Maintenance of the Resort is also of particular concern in our climate where we are subjected to mother natures environmental demands not to mention the vast size of our physical product, and programs run consistently; whether this is to repaint walls, revarnish woods, wash roofing, replant gardens, not to mention the never ending task of raking and cleaning the white powdery sandy beach areas in front of the Resort, almost 2kilometres of it! We are always busy doing something related to ensuring the Resort is at a pristine level.

5. Bintan Lagoon Resort takes into consideration all factors in ensuring guest comfort is paramount in our minds, whether it is the Security team that reassures guest safety and security from arrival to departure, or the Landscape and Environment team that ensures that insects or pests (large and small) - and there always some no matter where you go in this world - are controlled at the lowest possible levels at all times, or the Food and Beverage, Housekeeping, Front Office, Golf, Transport and Concierge or Executive teams; we care and we are here for you.

Our efforts are clearly reflected in the 100's of positive guest comment cards completed on site, or the 1000's of "Saya Bisa" (in Bahasa Indonesia - "Can Do") employee awards (kudos) that our guests bestow us with on a regular basis, but we can always improve and we are!
