Like I said in the previous entry, we took a 90-minute drive north in a very comfortable car, got to check out the island in between, talked to a great guide who told us lots about Indonesia, and I personally felt like it was a pretty fortuitous mistake. Of course, opinions varied.

We had hit the quay strip, Chinatown, Little India, museums, even eaten at Taco Bell (Thailand doesn't have one, so Dane and I were really pumped about that visit!).
