... and storefronts bordering both sides. There were few cars, some horse carriages, some bikers, and many walkers. We had lunch before going on a canal tour. We were told that Belgian fries are really good, so we had them with our lunch. Honestly, to me they were nothing special, especially after that waffle. After lunch, we went in a canal tour, where the recorded tour guide spoke 4 different languages!

Once Tim showed up we took a walk to his house. The city streets were very active. Leuven has small town feel and charm combined with a very active nightlife, cheap food and beer and really friendly people. In Brussels French was the main language, but in Leuven it is Deutsch. Tim lives in a building with mostly other students. He has the only loft in ...
... we got an apartment, 2 bedrooms,2 baths. And a kitchen!!! And its down the street from a grocery store, it feels like heaven right now. :)

On the morning of the 31st, we woke up around 10am. We had originally planned to leave on the 7am train to Brussels, but since our tickets were non-reservation tickets (meaning we could get on ANY inter-city aka. slow-train to Brussels), we decided to sleep in.
