... I arrived in Leuven yesterday afternoon after 17 hours of travelling. Two planes and two trains brought me to this place I will call home for the next two months. I live in a one bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor of a walk up. An old staircase spirals up the centre of the building and it is steep; something I learned while lugging my bags up three flights. My window faces the courtyard outside which has a flower shop, clothing store ...

Walking around the city can be a bit challenging because the street names are listed in both Dutch and French. ... the breakfast was wonderful. The various spreads included chocolate hazelnut, raspberry, and a delicious organic butter. In addition to the juice, I also opted for the Belgian hot chocolate to go with my breakfast (I just got here and I had a sweet tooth to satisfy) :). Several bread varieties and a cup of delicious liquid chocolate later, we were stuffed and happy. Welcome to Belgium! After breakfast, we made a trip back to the room and recharged for ...

Was some spot, after a few minutes of drinking, the Police stroll in, Jen starts ******** herself that they were there to arrest her for smoking real cigarettes in the pub. But alas, they sit down at the top of the bar and order a round of pints. Great photo opportunity for Zig and Paddy with the Police. Was great craic in the Canary. We met Stephen the barman, Dominick the Austrian with the Cork accent and Blonde Brian ...
