      Magical Menorca

... or at least that is what I told him.

Menorca is well worth a visit, there is plenty to keep you busy for at least a week and with our few days on the island we did tick off all four corners and criss crossed the island. The capital, Mahon (or Mao) was a bit of a disappointment although the Xoriguer Gin Distillery did seem to let you taste as much as you wanted - a shame to be driving so made do with a useable souvenir purchase for use at home. The old ...

      Dragonera

Last day... Despite not being at school, I think we had to get up even earlier today! We met with Lisa and Andrea and took a taxi to Santa Ponsa to meet John. From there, we began our boat trip to the island of Dragonera, near the north west coast of Majorca. The trip was great - more views of the beautiful Mallorquin coastline, blazing sun and the wind in our hair. We stopped for a swim in the sea en route to the island and had a lunch on the boat - ...

Last day at school... And thankfully Javier made it quite fun! We practised telephone conversations and played Taboo in Spanish which I think was a very useful way of practicing what we had learnt - and was good fun (no Lucking cheating tactics allowed!). At the end of the lesson, I was handed my certificate -140 hours of lessons! My progress is apparently just higher than a GCSE in Spanish - so nowhere near fluent, but not bad for 7 ...

After school today, James drove us to Coloni Sant Jordi, a pretty little port, for a bite to eat. We had intended to explore a nearby beach which was recommended by a local, but after having had quite a few days of exploring recently, we drove straight to Es Trenc beach instead. People had told me that this was their favourite beach on the island... It's definitely nice. A very long, narrow beach with nice sand and sea. However, it seemed to be having ...

      Day 39

A travel blog entry by 4girls on Aug 08, 2014

Sleeping in until noon we had to quickly get ready to meet the group for our canoe session. We walked to the town square where our tour manager found out we had already missed the bus as she tad been told the wrong time. This meant one thing...Off to Burger King for breaky. We all got taxis to Cara Morell beach and enjoyed the afternoon in the beautiful water until Alana got stung by a jelly ...
