... so the camera he brought over will be travelling back in its same condition. As we had wifi here Sonja and David skyped Owen and Katelyn, brother Greg, Claire and sister-in-law Sue to make arrangements to have us covered for all the things we have to do after we get back to Australia on Sunday - accommodation, moving things out of Doncaster and up to Ballarat and Uncle Bill's funeral - before we can finally head ...

... get out & about we caught a ferry over to HK island. The original plan for today had been to take a hop on/hop off bus tour to possibly the Stanley Markets & the Peak, but the weather put an end that as the peak was shrouded in cloud. We looked around the harbour (& more shops), and decided that apart from huge skyscrapers & shops there probably wasn't a lot else to take our interest & headed back to the ferry & Kowloon. We got to our hotel at 8:45 pm Feb.27, Hong Kong time, exactly 24 hrs after we left our house in Calgary (5:45am). The flight from Vancouver was good and luckily our luggage arrived with us. It was 19 degrees with humidity of 90% so no snow here. It will take a day to get our clocks set as we are both wide awake and it is just 3:30 ...

Here we threw coins in a fishes mouth for good luck and crossed the Longevity Bridge which is said to add 3 days to your life each time you cross it - we stayed here for a couple of hours !! We then sat on the seafront and enjoyed a second breakfast compliments of the hotel ...

... adventure. To say the least it was a 3.5 hour affair from start to finish! Sunday evening the group of us went to the movie theatre and kept it low key. Following this some of us sat up in the sky garden. The skygarden is a rooftop terrace located in Hall 11 right in residence. It was a definite nice way to end the weekend before another crazy week began.

Some days I miss home, and my mom's cooking. But at the same time, what an opportunity. I love it here.
