      We woke up relaxed and well rested, but looking at low ceilings and rain.

      I had harbored hopes that we might head to just outside Boston to spend the night and take in a Red Sox game, but it was proving to be too complicated and costly to pull off.I was used to Seattle ticket prices where good but cheap bleacher seats could be gotten for $25, but the cheapest seats in Boston were more than 4 times as expensive.

      ... light . we kayaked there one day for about three hours so we didn't see that much of the lake, but it had a couple of islands and a large mountain. beautiful. the north woods is an outdoor haven for fisherpeople and kayak and canoes, hunters,hikers, and alot of atv trails. the appalachian trail runs through this area. every place we go we love. but we think "where would we like to spend a summer?" and so ...

      ... beautiful beaches, eating the most delicious NZ lamb (many times, I have to say!), discovering Hokey Pokey Ice Cream . . It was all perfect!

      Nothing better than traveling with Sue, Betsy, and Bill! How great to have a family that can spend close to a month together and just plain have fun! Pretty special! I will close with a few pictures of Sue and me on our rafting trip. We did have fun!
