... trying to dig the wheels out of the sand with our bare hands. Finally we found a right back into town and got someone to come tow us out of the sand. We were all upset our day was "ruined" but every time I think about it, I can't help but laugh. My family truly is hilarious.

So we survived the wedding - despite some last minute issues, everything turned out to be simply fabulous. The wedding and reception were BEAUTIFUL! It is so obvious from the pictures that everyone had an amazing time. Thank you everyone who came and shared our special day - we love all of you, and we will keep you in our thoughts as we travel the world. We'll miss you all, but we'll do our best to keep you informed as to our latest adventures!!

We figured it would be one of those CNN nights as that's all that was ever on the TV but I started asking questions and learned it was "no problem" to get into downtown Rome... We had to catch a city bus about 100 yards from the hotel and that took us to the train station a few miles away. Then we took the train to the B line subway station and took that to the A line ...
