      Howdy from the Encinal Yacht Club in Alameda.

      We had another nice motor today coming up from the Coyote Point Marina to the Encinal Yacht Club. We're still pushing the motor hard to be sure the fuel filter change fixed our engine's hiccups. At this point we think we're good to go. Thank goodness. We really weren't looking forward to finding, dealing with and most of all paying a mechanic.

      ... be barely sufficient.

      We plan to be here a couple more days, and then we'll head southwest, toward either Death Valley or the Mojave Desert.

      Since I haven't had time to sit down and write about our travels at the end of each day, I'm sure I've missed some of the fun highlights. I'll try to do better once we're back on the road. For this week and last, spending time with kids and grandkids has been too all-consuming to take time away from that to write.
